The no-let serve
The FIP rules keep the let: a serve that clips the net and lands in the box is replayed. Some leagues and social formats play "no let", where that serve is simply in play. Treat it as a local rule and agree it first.
What the official rules say
Under the FIP rules a serve that touches the net or a post and lands in the correct box is a let and is served again. We found no major tour playing without lets in 2026.
How no-let works where it is played
Where a league or social event plays no-let, a serve that clips the net and lands in the box is live and must be played. A net-cord serve that lands outside the box, or touches the mesh after the bounce, is still a fault.
Agree it first
Because it is not in the official rules, only play no-let when everyone has agreed it before the match.
