Much of what you see on Rally & Roam comes from open data that other people collect and share. We are grateful to them. This page lists every source we use, the licence it comes under and the credit it asks for. Where a club, coach or place has claimed its listing, what it tells us comes first.

Clubs, courts and places

OpenStreetMap. Padel clubs, courts, opening hours, restaurants, sights and hotels. © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Our database of clubs and places built from it is available under the same licence; ask us through the Help centre for a copy.
Overture Maps Foundation. Club and place names, addresses, phone numbers and websites, under the Community Data License Agreement Permissive 2.0.
Foursquare OS Places. Club details, © Foursquare Labs, Inc., under the Apache License 2.0.
Comando Construcciones SAS. Padel clubs in Colombia, their courts and prices, from the Estudio de mercado de clubes de pádel en Colombia 2026, under CC BY 4.0. We changed prices to an hourly rate.
Clubs' own websites. Opening hours, court counts, booking links and contact details that clubs publish about themselves. We read a site only where its robots.txt allows us to, and we never copy its photos or text.

Photos

Wikimedia Commons. Photos of clubs, cities and places, each credited to its author under its own free licence, shown with the photo.
Mapillary. Street level photos, under CC BY-SA 4.0, credited with each photo.
Pictures marked as an illustration are drawn for us. They show the feel of a place, never a real club or person.

Cities and city guides

GeoNames. Cities, populations, countries and time zones, under CC BY 4.0.
Wikivoyage. Travel tips and phrasebooks in city guides, under CC BY-SA 4.0, with a link to the article on each guide.
Wikipedia and Wikidata. Short facts about cities and sights. Wikipedia text is under CC BY-SA 4.0 and Wikidata is under CC0.
GOV.UK. Foreign travel advice from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

Weather, money and dates

MET Norway. Weather forecasts, under CC BY 4.0.
Open-Meteo. Tide times and sea forecasts, under CC BY 4.0.
Frankfurter and ExchangeRate-API. Exchange rates, from the European Central Bank's reference rates and ExchangeRate-API.
NASA POWER. Monthly climate averages (temperature, rain and cloud) for 2016 to 2025 in city guides and the concierge. These data were obtained from the NASA Langley Research Center POWER Project, funded through the NASA Earth Science Applied Science Program.
Nager.Date. Public holidays, under the MIT licence.

Travel

OurAirports. Airports, in the public domain.
OpenFlights. Airline routes, under the Open Database License.
Transitous. Train and bus journeys, from open timetables collected by the Transitous project.

Maps and location

OpenFreeMap. Map tiles, built from OpenStreetMap data and the OpenMapTiles schema.
Nominatim. Finding addresses on the map, from OpenStreetMap data.
Natural Earth. The world map's country shapes, in the public domain.
MaxMind and DB-IP. Your approximate city from your internet address, to suggest nearby airports. This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from maxmind.com, and IP geolocation by DB-IP under CC BY 4.0. See our privacy policy.

What we pass on to others

When developers use our API, or buy our data products, we only pass on data whose licence allows it, with the credit it needs. We never pass on Wikivoyage text, descriptions taken from club websites, photos from Wikimedia Commons or Mapillary, or weather and climate data. Our API terms and insight reports and data licensing page explain the rules.

Spotted a mistake?

Open data is only as good as the people who keep it up to date. If something about a club or place is wrong, tell us from its page, or, if it is your club, claim it and correct it yourself. You can also fix it at the source, for example on OpenStreetMap, so everyone benefits.
