Claude can use our MCP server in claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code. Checked against Anthropic's own pages on 24 October 2026; their screens change, so follow their current wording where it differs.

claude.ai and Claude Desktop

Custom connectors are available on the Free (one custom connector), Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. A connector added in claude.ai also works in Claude Desktop and on mobile.

Free, Pro and Max:

Open Customize, then Connectors (claude.ai/customize/connectors).
Choose Add custom connector.
Name it "Rally & Roam" and enter the MCP server URL: https://rallyroam.co.uk/mcp.
For authentication, choose Sign in when needed (OAuth). Leave the OAuth client set to Claude's published identity unless you have a reason to change it.
Choose Add. When Claude first uses it, you are sent to Rally & Roam to sign in and pick the key it acts as.

Team and Enterprise: an Owner adds the connector under Organization settings, Connectors, choosing Add then Custom, with the same URL and authentication. Each member then finds it under Customize, Connectors and chooses Connect.

With an API key instead of OAuth: if your organisation has the Request headers section (in beta for some organisations), choose No sign-in, add the header authorization and enter the value exactly as it should be sent: Bearer pk_live_.... The header is shared by everyone in the organisation, so use a key made for that purpose.

In a conversation, turn the connector on from +, then Connectors. Claude's servers call ours from Anthropic's IP ranges; nothing needs to run on your computer.

Authentication settings cannot be edited after you add a connector: remove it and add it again.

Claude Code

Add the server with your key in a header. Use a variable name of your own: Claude Code does not expand some reserved names, such as ANTHROPIC_API_KEY, in headers.
