Lets on the serve

A serve that clips the net or a post and lands in the box is replayed, as long as it does not then touch the mesh. A serve is also replayed if the receiver was not ready and did not try to play it.

Net cord

If the serve touches the net or a net post and then bounces in the receiver's box, it is a let: serve again, with no penalty. There is no limit to how many lets in a row. If after the box it touches the mesh, it is a fault instead.

Hitting a player

If a serve touches the net or a post and then hits a player or anything they carry, it is a let as well.

Not ready

The server waits for the receiver, and the receiver keeps to the server's reasonable pace. A receiver who makes no attempt to return can claim they were not ready, and the serve is replayed. Anyone who tries to return it cannot claim afterwards that they were not ready.

First or second serve

A let on the first serve replays the whole point, so you still have two serves. A let on the second serve replays only the second serve.
