This policy sets out what you may not do on Rally & Roam, on the web, in our apps and through our API. It is part of our terms of use and applies to everyone: members, coaches, clubs, place owners, operators, partners and visitors who are not signed in. Our community guidelines explain how we expect people to treat each other.

What is not allowed

You must not use Rally & Roam to:

post, send or share anything illegal, including content that is threatening, fraudulent, or that infringes someone else's copyright, trade mark or privacy;
harass, bully, threaten, stalk or discriminate against anyone;
impersonate a person, club, coach or business, or suggest a connection with them that does not exist;
write fake reviews, review your own business or a competitor, or offer or accept anything in return for a review that depends on what it says (see our reviews policy);
send spam, chain messages, unsolicited advertising or scams in messages, games, groups or reviews;
upload viruses, malware or anything designed to harm devices or systems;
try to get around our security, for example by testing for weaknesses without following our responsible disclosure policy, using someone else's account, or getting around a block, suspension or limit;
get around our fees or payments, for example by asking to be paid outside the platform for a booking found on it;
sell, rent or share access to your account, or resell our services, content or data;
put anyone at risk, including children and adults at risk (see our safeguarding policy).

Scraping and automated access

Our club, coach and place listings, reviews, prices, guides and contact details take a great deal of work to gather, check and keep up to date, and some of them are personal information. You must not copy them in bulk, by hand or with bots, crawlers, scrapers, scripts or other automated tools, unless you have our written permission or use our API within its terms. This includes:

building a copy of our directory, or of any part of it, for another site, app or database;
harvesting phone numbers, email addresses or names of clubs, coaches, places or members;
using our content to train AI models, unless the licence of the data source allows it and you follow it (see data sources and credits);
pretending to be a search engine or another trusted crawler.

Search engines that follow our robots rules may index public pages.

How we protect the site

To keep the site fast and fair for players and to protect the people listed on it, we run these measures:

Page rate limits. Each visitor can view a certain number of pages in a short time. Signed-in members get a higher allowance.
A human check. If pages are viewed unusually fast, we ask for a quick check by Cloudflare Turnstile before showing more. Turnstile also protects our join, newsletter, enquiry, claim and help forms. See our cookie policy and privacy policy for what it uses.
Temporary blocks. Very heavy automated traffic, or traffic that follows links meant only for bots, is blocked for a while.
Crawler checks. A visitor that says it is a major search engine crawler must come from that search engine's own network, which we confirm with a reverse and forward DNS check. If it does not, it is blocked.
Contact details on a tap. Club and place phone numbers and email addresses are not in the page. They are fetched only when you tap to see them, and the number you can see each day is limited.
Limits on sign-in, forms and payments. Signing in, joining, password resets, two-factor codes, payments and payouts are limited to a small number of tries in a short time.

We do not publish the exact limits, and we may change them.
