Rally & Roam

Getting started

From a new advertiser account to your first ad running, in six steps.

Overview

This guide takes you from nothing to your first ad running. It takes about twenty minutes, plus the time ad review needs.

Before you start

You need:

- a business or organisation to advertise for, and the right to use its name and logo; - a landing page on your own website that works on a phone and uses https; - a card for billing; - at least one image that meets the format specs, unless you are promoting your own listing.

1. Create your advertiser account

Create an advertiser account with your business name, your name and a work email. Advertiser accounts are separate from player accounts: they have their own sign-in, and you can use the same email for both. Confirm your email from the link we send.

2. Secure the account

Switch on two-factor sign-in from the security page. It is required before your first spend. If others will work on your ads, invite them with the role they need: admin, campaign manager, analyst or billing.

3. Add billing details

Add your billing address and a card. Nothing is charged yet. You pay as you go: we charge the card when your spend reaches your billing threshold, which starts at £25, or at the end of the month. Set an account spending limit now if you want a hard ceiling. See billing.

4. Build a campaign

A campaign holds one objective, one or more ad sets and their ads. See campaign structure for what each level controls.

1. Create a campaign and choose its objective: awareness, visits or bookings. 2. Add an ad set: the budget (daily or lifetime), the dates, the placements, the targeting and your bid. 3. Add an ad: the format, the image, the headline, the text, the button and the landing page. Check the live preview for each placement.

5. Submit for review

Submit the campaign. Every ad is checked automatically and then by a person on our team, usually within one working day. You see each ad's status in your account and get an email when a decision is made. See ad review.

6. Watch your results

Once approved, ads start at the date you set. Your reports show impressions, viewable impressions, clicks, conversions and spend, by day, placement, country and device. Give a new campaign a few days before changing it much. See measurement.
