This page explains how to tell us about content on Rally & Roam that breaks the law or our rules, including content that infringes your copyright, and what we do when we receive a report. It applies to everything members and partners post: profiles, messages, group and game chat, reviews, games, groups, events, job listings, club and place listings, photos and videos.

Reporting with the Report button

Members, messages, reviews and games each have a Report option next to them. Choose the reason that fits best:

Spam: advertising, scams or repeated unwanted messages;
Abuse: harassment, threats, hate speech or other abusive content;
Fake: a fake review, profile or listing;
No-show: a player who did not turn up to a game;
Safety: something that puts someone at risk, including a child;
Other: anything else, explained in the details box.

The person you report is not told who reported them. We aim to look at every report within a day.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999 (or 112 outside the UK) first.

Reporting other content and copyright

A copyright notice should include:

your name and contact details, and, if you act for someone else, who they are;
a description of the work you own, such as a photo, video, text or music;
where the content is on Rally & Roam, with the web address of each page;
a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law;
a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner.

The same details help with other legal notices, such as defamation, privacy or trade mark complaints. Please tell us which law you think the content breaks and why.

What we do

A member of our team reviews each report. We may:

dismiss the report if nothing breaks the law or our rules;
remove the content (a review is hidden, a message is deleted, a game is cancelled, and other content is taken down);
warn the member who posted it;
suspend the member's account for serious or repeated breaches;
report illegal content to the police or other authorities where the law requires, or where someone may be at risk.

Where we act on a legal notice, we normally tell the person who posted the content what was removed and why, unless the law or the safety of others means we should not.

Counter-notices

If your content was removed after a copyright or legal notice and you believe that was a mistake, for example because you own the rights or have permission, contact us through the Help centre or at the address above. Explain why, and include the same kind of details as a notice. We will look at it again, and we may share your reply with the person who complained so they can respond. If we agree, we will put the content back.

Repeat infringers

We suspend the accounts of members who repeatedly post content that infringes other people's rights or breaks our rules.

Misuse of this process

Do not send notices you know to be false, or use this process to remove fair reviews or criticism. We may ignore notices like that, and making false statements can have legal consequences. If you are unhappy with how we handled a report, see our complaints process. Our online safety statement explains our wider approach to illegal and harmful content.
