We sell two kinds of data products: anonymised market reports about padel demand, and a licensed data feed through our API. This page explains what is in them, how we protect the people behind the numbers, and what buyers may and may not do with them. It sits alongside our terms of use, our API terms and our privacy policy.

Market reports

What they contain

Market reports are written for resorts, investors, developers and clubs. Each covers a period of time and, usually, a destination, and shows:

demand for courts by destination and month;
how bookings spread across price bands;
which countries players travel from;
prices that clubs list publicly.

Reports are built only from totals of court bookings made through Rally & Roam. They never contain a name, an email address, a single booking or anything else that identifies a person.

How we protect people

A figure is only shown when enough different players are behind it. The minimum is set for each report and shown on it: normally 10, and never fewer than 5. Smaller figures are left out.
Players from countries with few bookings are grouped as "Other countries", and only when that group is itself large enough.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, we use booking data in this aggregated form on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and growing padel travel. Our privacy policy explains your right to object.

Buying a report

Reports are paid for by card at the price shown, and once bought you can download them as CSV or PDF from your account. You buy a report for the company you name at checkout.

The licensed data feed

Developers can use our API to show clubs, coaches, events and availability in their own products. The feed only contains data we are allowed to license, and every field is tagged with where it came from, with the credit each source asks for. Our API terms and data sources page give the full detail.

Included: our own data (bookings and availability, reviews and ratings, level ratings, and destinations and events we write), what clubs and coaches give us when they join or claim their listing, and open data whose licence allows it: Overture Maps, Foursquare OS Places, the Colombia padel club census and OpenStreetMap.
Never included: Wikivoyage text, descriptions taken from club websites, photos from Wikimedia Commons or Mapillary, weather and climate data, and anything from Google.
OpenStreetMap: fields from OpenStreetMap are under the Open Database Licence. If you publish a database built from them, you must offer it under the same licence and keep the credit "© OpenStreetMap contributors".

What you may and may not do

You may use a report or the feed for your own business planning, analysis and products, within your licence. You must not:

try to identify any person behind the data, or combine it with other data to do so;
resell or republish a report, or large parts of it, as it is;
remove the source credits, or suggest that Rally & Roam, a club or a coach endorses you;
use the data to contact players, clubs or coaches for marketing they have not agreed to.

Accuracy

Reports describe bookings made through Rally & Roam only, not the whole padel market, and open data can be out of date. We take care to build them correctly, but we do not promise that they are complete or suitable for a particular investment or decision. They are not financial advice.
