This statement explains how Rally & Roam deals with illegal and harmful content, how you can report it, and how we protect children. We publish it because Rally & Roam lets members share content with each other, which makes it a user-to-user service under the Online Safety Act 2023.

On Rally & Roam, members can:

send direct messages, and chat in groups and games;
write reviews of clubs, coaches, events, places, courses and gear;
create a public player profile with a photo and bio;
upload match videos, which stay private unless the member chooses to share them with followers or make them public;
create games, groups and competitions, and post job listings and events if they are a coach, club or operator.

Illegal content

Illegal content is not allowed anywhere on Rally & Roam. This includes, among other things, threats, harassment and stalking, hate offences, fraud and scams, intimate images shared without consent, terrorism content and child sexual exploitation and abuse. When we become aware of illegal content, through a report or otherwise, we remove it quickly and take action against the account, up to suspension. Where the law requires, or where someone may be at risk, we report it to the police or other authorities. Our acceptable use policy and community guidelines also ban content that is harmful but not illegal, such as bullying and abuse.

How to report

Use Report next to a member, message, post, comment, review, game, group, match moment, noticeboard post, or club, place or coach listing, and choose a reason: illegal content, someone being unsafe or at risk, abuse, bullying or hate, sexual content or unwanted advances, private information or filming without consent, misuse of a women-only space, spam or scams, a fake profile, review or result, a false or misleading listing, copyright, not turning up, or something else.
For other content, or for a legal notice, see content and copyright takedown.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999 (or 112 outside the UK).

You do not need to be a member of a group or game to report a member. The person you report is not told who reported them. We aim to look at every report within a day. Reports about women-only games and groups come first, then illegal content and concerns that someone is unsafe or at risk, then everything else.

What we do with a report

A member of our team reviews each report and can dismiss it, remove the content, warn the member or suspend the account. When content is removed or an account suspended, other open reports about it are closed. Every decision is recorded.

We tell the person who reported it the outcome: that we took action, or that we found no breach. We do not tell them what action we took or anything else about the other member. When we remove a member's content or suspend their account, we tell them what was removed and why, and how to appeal.

Blocking

You can block any member. Blocking stops them sending you messages and joining your games, and removes follows between you. You can see everyone you have blocked, and unblock them, in your account settings.

Children

Rally & Roam is designed for adults. Under our terms of use, accounts are for people aged 16 and over, and a parent or guardian books lessons and events for anyone under 18. We do not currently check ages when people join. To protect children who take part in padel through our platform:

coaches who want to coach anyone under 18 must give us a safeguarding declaration, such as an enhanced DBS check, which our team checks before the coach is shown as suitable for juniors;
adults must not contact children through the platform except as a coach in a lesson arranged by a parent or guardian;
anyone can report a concern about a child's safety with the reason "Someone may be unsafe or at risk", and we can suspend an account straight away while we look into it.

Our safeguarding policy explains this in full and how to raise a concern.

Complaints

If we remove your content or warn you, you can appeal from the notice we send you, within 6 months. If your account is suspended, write to us from the contact page in the Help centre. A different person from the one who made the decision will look at it.

If you are unhappy with how we handled a report, with the answer to an appeal, or with how we meet our online safety duties, you can complain through our complaints process. A different person from the one who made the first decision will look at it. You can also tell Ofcom, the online safety regulator.
