Track shared expenses and settle up

Add expenses to your trip as you go, and we work out who owes whom at the end.

Adding an expense

1. Open the trip in Trips and go to Expenses. 2. Add a title, the amount and the currency. 3. Choose who paid and who it is split between.

Expenses are split evenly between the people you choose. Anyone who is not involved, for example someone who skipped dinner, can be left out of that expense.

Settling up

The settle up view nets everyone's balances, then pairs the person who owes the most with the person who is owed the most, and repeats. That keeps the number of payments as small as possible. For a group of four, you rarely need more than three transfers.

We show you who should pay whom and how much. The payments themselves happen outside Rally & Roam, by bank transfer or whatever your group uses.

Expenses and bookings

Court bookings you split through Rally & Roam are paid separately, so you do not need to add them as expenses. Use trip expenses for everything else: dinners, taxis, ball tubes, the villa.

Tips

- Add expenses on the day, while receipts are to hand. - Use one currency for the trip if you can, so the totals are easier to read.

Only trip members can see the expenses. If something looks wrong in the totals, open a ticket and tell us which trip.
