Mini-sets to four games
A shorter set from the FIP rules: first to four games with a lead of two, and a tie-break at four-all. In Britain, LTA regional and county tournaments use these short sets, with a ten-point championship tie-break as the third set.
標準の試合から変わる点
Sets are to four games instead of six. The tie-break comes at four-all instead of six-all.
ルール
A set starts at love-all in games. The first pair to four games with a lead of two wins the set: 4 to 0, 4 to 1 or 4 to 2. At three-all play continues: 5 to 3 still wins the set. At four-all a tie-break is played, and the set is won 5 to 4. The tie-break follows the normal FIP tie-break rules: first to seven points with a lead of two. Serving, receiving and changing ends work as in a six-game set. In LTA short sets, the third set is replaced by a championship tie-break to ten points.
運営方法
State the format on the draw sheet: for example, best of three short sets to four games, tie-break at four-all, golden point. If you follow the LTA format, the third set is a championship tie-break to ten.
