The net and the posts in a rally
A ball that clips the net or a net post and lands in their court is good. If it falls back on your side, or goes from the net straight into their wall, you lose the point.
Off the net or the post
In a rally, a ball that touches the top of the net or a net post and then lands in the other court is a good shot: play on. If it falls back on your side, or goes from the net or post straight into their wall or mesh without bouncing, you lose the point.
Odd courts
Older courts sometimes have posts outside the line of the walls, unusual doors or gaps. Ask the regulars how they treat them, agree it with your opponents before the first serve, and replay the point if something strange happens that nobody saw clearly.
