Serving and receiving order
Serve passes from pair to pair after every game, and within each pair the players take turns. The receiving order is fixed for the whole set: the same player always takes the first point of each game.
Serving order
At the start of each set, each pair decides which player serves first. Serve then alternates between the pairs game by game, and within a pair the two players take turns, so all four serve in order. The order cannot change until the next set.
Receiving order
In the first game of each set the receiving pair decides who receives the first point. That player receives the first point, from the right, in every game they receive that set, and their partner receives from the left. The order can change only at the start of a new set.
Where the receivers and partners stand
The receiver can stand anywhere on their side, and so can their partner and the server's partner. Only the server has a fixed place.
If the receivers swap by mistake
If the receiving pair change their order during a game, they finish that game as they are and go back to their original places in the next game.
