Trust a device for 30 days
Tick Trust this device when you enter your sign-in code, and that browser skips the code for 30 days. You can stop trusting one device, or all of them, at any time.
Kort fortalt
At the code step of signing in, you can tick Trust this device for 30 days. That browser then skips the code for 30 days. You still need your password, or a passkey.
Trust a device
1. Sign in with your email and password. 2. On the code screen, enter your code. 3. Tick Trust this device for 30 days. 4. Choose Sign in.
Only do this on a phone or computer you own. Do not trust a shared or public computer.
How it works
We save a random token in a secure cookie in that browser and keep only a scrambled copy. If you clear your cookies, use a private window or switch browser, we ask for the code again. After 30 days we ask again.
See and remove trusted devices
Open Settings, Security and look under Second step and trusted devices. Each trusted device shows its browser and system, for example Safari on iPhone, and the date it stops skipping the second step.
To remove one, choose Stop trusting next to it. To remove them all at once, choose Stop trusting all devices. The next sign-in on each removed device asks for the code again.
Developer and advertiser accounts have the same list on their Security page in the developer or advertiser centre.
Lost a device?
1. Choose Stop trusting next to the lost device, or Stop trusting all devices. 2. Choose Sign out next to its session, or Sign out other sessions, to end any session still open. See sign out other sessions and apps. 3. Change your password. See change your password.
