Line calls and refereeing yourselves
Without an umpire, each pair calls the balls on its own side, quickly and honestly. When you are not sure, the ball is good, and when the four of you cannot agree, replay the point.
Your side, your call
Each pair calls the balls that land on its side of the net. Call out loud, straight away, and point if it helps. A late call after you have played the ball does not count.
Doubt goes to your opponent
If you did not clearly see a ball out, or did not see it hit the glass before bouncing, it is good. Never ask spectators to decide.
Calls only you can make
Only you know if the ball brushed your shirt, touched your racket twice or clipped your fingers. Say so yourself: it is what makes social padel work.
Agree the local rules
Before the first serve, agree the format (golden point, star point or advantage), whether you play outside the court, and how you treat beams, lights or odd gaps at that club. If something strange happens and nobody saw it clearly, replay the point.
