Pay for a developer plan, invoices and failed payments

Paid developer plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Your plan, invoices and billing details are all on the developer dashboard.

Move to a paid plan

1. On the dashboard, find Go live (or Change plan if you already pay). 2. Choose the Choose button next to the plan you want. 3. Pay on the secure Stripe page. You return to the dashboard when it is done.

Your plan starts straight away and live keys can be used (with two-factor sign-in on). If the panel says Test mode: choosing a plan switches it straight away, with no card charged., billing is not live yet and no card is taken.

Invoices

The Invoices panel lists your recent invoices with the plan, amount and whether each is Paid or Unpaid. Choose View to open one. On the free sandbox you will see No invoices yet. The sandbox plan is free.

Card, plan changes and cancelling

Choose Billing and invoices to open the Stripe customer portal. There you can update your card, change plan, see all invoices and cancel.

If you cancel, your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for and then moves back to the free sandbox. Test keys keep working; live keys stop. The API terms explain refunds for part months.

If a payment fails

- The dashboard shows Payment failed. Live keys keep working for 7 days while the card is retried or replaced. - If no payment goes through in that time, the badge changes to Live keys off. Calls with live keys get 403 live_keys_off. - Test keys keep working the whole time.

Update your card under Billing and invoices. Live keys switch back on as soon as a payment goes through. Your keys are not deleted, so you do not need new ones.
