Hitting the ball off the frame
A ball that comes off the frame or the edge of the racket is a normal shot. The rules care that you hit it once, in one movement, and that it then lands in their court, not which part of the racket made contact.
What the rules ask for
A return is good as long as you have not hit the ball twice, the contact happens in a single movement, and the ball's natural path off the racket does not change much. Nothing in the rules says the ball has to meet the hitting face.
Frame shots and the wrist cord
A frame shot that lands in their court is good, however lucky it looks. What does lose the point is a racket that leaves your hand: one you throw at the ball, one you drop or a broken wrist cord.
Double contact
If the ball touches the frame and then the face in two separate movements, that is a double hit and loses the point. A single swing in which it brushes both is fine.
Perguntas
Is a frame shot legal in padel?
Yes. If you hit it once in one movement and it lands in their court, it is a good return.
